Israel se renova a cada ano, o velho e o novo, a história da bíblia se desvenda aos seus olhos ao lado de uma modernidade galopante que parece desenfreada: na tecnologia, na arquitetura. São várias culturas, onde o respeito é sentido em todos os momentos. Judaísmo, cristianismo e islamismo, caminham juntos e pode-se absorver e aprender um pouco de cada. Os problemas políticos não se estendem no turismo em momento algum, pelo contrário.

Israel é seguro por onde você andar, seja no espetacular deserto da judéia, seja nos mercados livres como o Carmel de Tel Aviv, sempre irresistível com seus legumes, padarias, doces, roupas, eletrônicos ao lado de queijos e massas, um delírio que solicita bom humor.

Israel emociona a cada instante. Uma parcela do sagrado invade o nosso coração. A história se desenrolou naquele solo. A bíblia, os novos e velhos testamentos. Está tudo lá.

* Sharona: em frente ao ministério da defesa de Israel, o antigo bairros dos alemães cristãos dos anos 1800, conhecido como Templários (a história é complicadíssima, como tudo em Israel), se transformou num incrível centro de lojas de luxo, no lugar das casas de pedras e prédios de apartamentos milionários, estacionamentos subterrâneos e um espetacular mercado- restaurante Gourmet, que por si só, imenso, vale a visita.

* Haifa: Saindo de Tel Aviv, há uma hora de carro. indescritível, aconchegante, única. A terceira maior cidade de Israel é também uma das mais bonitas, que tem muito a oferecer aos visitantes além de hotéis agradáveis e diversificados, assim como os 1001 restaurantes aconchegantes e gostosos de se ir mais de uma vez. O porto é espetacular, o maior de Israel. A praia bem badalada. Em Haifa estão os decantados jardins da religião Bahai que enchem os olhos de esplendor. Mais uma vez o moderno e o antigo de mãos dadas. O mar e montanha, a história. Pura emoção.

* Os jardins esplendorosos da seita Bahai são espetaculares e podem ser parcialmente visitados ou apreciados. São bem no Centro da cidade, ao lado dos agradéveis bares e restaurantes ou pequenos hotéis-de-charme.

Yad Vashem – O Museu do Holocausto. A caminho de Jerusalém. Difícil de se visitar, por sua carga emocional, e os campos de concentração cenograficamente reconstruídos. Uma experiênca necessária. Em 1953, cinco anos depois da criação do Estado de Israel, uma lei do Parlamento israelense instituiu em Jerusalém o Museu do Holocausto, ou Yad Vashem (expressão retirada do evangelho de Isaías que significa “monumento e nome”). Dedicado à memória do genocídio praticado pelos nazistas durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, quando pelo menos 6 milhões de judeus tiveram bens expropriados, foram deportados e mortos, o museu é um enorme arquivo sobre o tema. Além de várias exposições e memoriais, abriga 55 milhões de documentos, incluindo passaportes, registros de confisco de bens, deportações e papéis que incriminam nazistas e colaboradores. Guarda também 2 milhões de páginas de testemunho de sobreviventes em cerca de 20 línguas. Para centralizar e preservar toda a documentação sobre o Holocausto, uma equipe pesquisa arquivos do mundo inteiro, que são levados para Israel. O museu já recebeu visitas de personalidades como o papa João Paulo II e o cineasta judeu Roman Polanski, diretor de O Pianista. Polanski encontrou nos arquivos do museu o registro de seu pai em um campo de concentração. Para todo esse patrimônio histórico, o Museu do Holocausto ocupa uma área de 180 mil metros quadrados (o equivalente a 25 campos de futebol), em que tudo, desde o jardim até uma ambulância, lembra os personagens e as vítimas dessa história.

Cerca de 20 mil árvores enfeitam os jardins do museu. Em cada uma, um “não-judeu” que se arriscou para salvar vítimas do nazismo é homenageado com uma placa com seu nome. A primeira delas é dedicada ao alemão Oscar Schindler, que salvou pelo menos 1,2 mil judeus. Em 2003, o embaixador brasileiro na França durante a guerra, Luiz de Souza Dantas, que emitiu centenas de vistos para os judeus perseguidos na Europa, ganhou sua árvore. Lá dentro a “Lista de Schindler” original com todos os nomes repousa para sempre na memória da humanidade.

Museu de Israel – Veja na sua frente os Manuscritos do Mar Morto, a versão mais antiga da bíblia hebraica, datando de mil anos antes da Bíblia Hebraica ser escrita. Encontrados por acaso nos anos 1940 por alguns pastores beduínos. Os Manuscritos do Mar Morto são uma coleção de centenas de textos e fragmentos de texto encontrados em cavernas de Qumran, no Mar Morto. È bom ler antes sobre o assunto para se alcançar tamanha grandiosidade da história religiosa da humanidade.

Jerusalém: em nenhum outro lugar do planeta se encontra o fascínio desta cidade sagrada para cristãos, árabes e judeus.

Há uma energia poderosíssima sobre a Cidade velha de Jerusalém que não existe em nenhum outro lugar no mundo. Talvez seja devido a história gloriosa, sublime e sofrida das altas muralhas de pedra e dos prédios antigos ou devido a atmosfera sagrada que cerca os locais sagrados das religiões judaica, cristã e muçulmana.

A Cidade velha foi construída originalmente pelo Rei David em 1004 a.C, e sempre foi considerada o centro do mundo. Mapas antigos mostram os três continentes conhecidos naquela época: Europa, Ásia e África, situadas em um círculo com Jerusalém no centro. Desde então Jerusalém tem sido estimada e glorificada por reis, governantes e conquistadores que tentaram assaltar as suas muralhas e adorada por pessoas normais, que a tornaram uma das pedras fundamentais de sua fé. Este foi o lugar onde os judeus construíram o Templo, onde Jesus foi crucificado, e onde Maomé subiu aos Céus. Peregrinos, mendigos, mercadores, estudantes, grandes sábios, guerreiros e escravos, todos andaram pelas suas ruas e louvaram e amaram Jerusalém.

Com o passar dos anos, a Cidade velha passou por muitas mudanças que a tornaram uma das cidades mais interessantes no mundo, além de um ponto importante do foco turístico em Israel.

A cidade fica rodeada por uma muralha de mais de quatro quilômetros, com sete portões, 34 torres e uma cidadela (a Torre de Davi), é dividida em quatro quarteirões residenciais:

* Muro das Lamentações (Kotel) - local mais sagrado do judaísmo, pessoas choram de emoção, outras contemplam, muitos fazem seus pedidos em pedaços de papel fixados nas falhas do muro. Não deixe de entrar na sinagoga anexa do seu lado esquerdo (só para homens).

* Via Dolorosa (Estações da Cruz)

* O quarteirão cristão com a Igreja do Santo Sepulcro

* Reconstruído Bairro Judeu e Cardo - ruínas de uma rua principal da época romana

* Monte do Templo - Cúpula da Rocha e de Al Aqsa Mesquitas

* Mercado Árabe (Shuk), sempre impactante

* Mar Morto - o lugar mais baixo na terra (422 metros abaixo do nível do mar). Está caindo vertiginosamente o volume. Tem uma parcela de sagrado e mistério. A cor é única, você flutua na água. Masada - Ruínas da fortaleza de montanha – as paisagens são indescritíveis - do grande palácio Rei Herodes e último reduto da revolta judaica (que culminou com o suicídio coletivo) contra os romanos em 73 C. E. Um teleférico ou uma escala pouco íngreme a pé levam a este lugar que permanece toda uma vida na memória de quem tem o privilégio da visita. Recomenda-se um guia para detalhar tantos pontos de interesse de história e referências de diversas épocas. Inclusive do funcionamento técnico e operação como palácio e moradia da população. Histórias incríveis.

Isto é apenas um pouco de Israel, um país de infinitas possibilidades turísticas em todo desdobramento do setor, históricas, religiosas, arqueológicas, tecnológicas, médicas, profissionais, arquitetônicas e artísticas nos campos de todas as artes. E a história continua.

· Caesarea was Brazilian film scenario "Diamond Cor- of - Rose" in 1968, starring idols of the Young Guard as Roberto Carlos and since then is in memory of Brazil. 5 glorious nights in July. Service was excellent, and always offered with a smile- from doormen to bellhops, check in agents and servers in the restaurant. Breakfast was awesome daily, even on Shabbat morning there was a beautifully presented and delicious array of hot and cold dishes and salads. Decor is beyond beautiful, especially the lobby with an art-deco-yet modern feel. Beds were comfy, bathroom was expansive and luxurious. Location is excellent as its across from the Mamilla mall which leads pedestrians thru a winding restaurant and boutique-studded pathway towards Jaffa Gate and the beautiful old City of Jerusalem. Short walk to the Rova (jewish quarter) and Western Wall.

My husband and I stayed at the Waldorf for two weeks in June and came back for another week in August. What a treat. The hotel is brand new, and 5 star. The entrance and eating areas are surrounded by a central lounge sky light.The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms very luxurious with a separate stall shower and floating tub. There is a TV set in the mirror that is camouflaged. Fluffy robes and slippers make you so comfortable.
Breakfast is an event. Anything you can think of is on the buffet, as well as a menu to order from which is all included in the price of the room.
The service is impeccable, you are waited on hand and foot.They have the best cappuccino with a beautiful design floating on top.
We have stayed in many of the top hotels in Jerusalem, but none compare to the Waldorf

Yad Vashem - The Holocaust Museum. On the way to Jerusalem. Difficult to visit for its emotional charge, and scenographically concentration camps rebuilt. A necessary Experiença. Israel Museum - See in front of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest version of the Hebrew Bible, dating back a thousand years before the Hebrew Bible was written. Found by chance in the 1940s by some Bedouin shepherds. The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of hundreds of texts and text fragments found in Qumran caves in the Dead Sea. It is good to read before about it to achieve such greatness of the religious history of humanity.

Jerusalem: nowhere else on the planet is the allure of this holy city for Christians, Arabs and Jews.

There is a powerful energy on the Old City of Jerusalem that does not exist anywhere else in the world.
